Carpenter Position Overview
Job Description
Carpenters at Radiant Inc. are skilled tradespeople responsible for cutting, shaping, and installing building materials to construct or repair buildings, furniture, etc. They need to interpret clients’ needs or building specifications to determine the type and amount of material required and validate structures to ensure they align with design parameters.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Carpenter in a similar role.
- Physical capability to handle demands of carpentry-related jobs, such as lifting heavy objects, working in confined spaces, and standing or kneeling for extended periods.
- Hands-on experience in working with carpentry materials.
- Proficiency in using electrical and manual equipment and measurement tools.
- Understanding of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and construction.
- Ability to read technical documents and drawings.
- Trade school degree or completion of a carpentry apprenticeship.
Job Responsibilities
- Cutting, fabricating, and installing wooden and other structures according to specifications.
- Conducting regular physical inspections of places and carrying out repairs or maintenance.
- Reading blueprints, drawings, and sketches to grasp requirements fully.
- Carrying out physically-intensive carpentry tasks, such as framing, formwork, finishing, and roofing.
